Mills Dray
Mills Dray (they/them) is a designer working with systems change and co-production, mostly with a focus on systems of care and community. Mills is a strong advocate for play; aiming to reimagine concepts of leadership through the lens of childhood, and uses play and queering as major themes to both their design and facilitation practice. They have designed and facilitated programmes of change in collaboration with large scale organisations, school networks, charities and local + central governments, and currently teach on the MFA Embedded Design programme at the University of Gothenburg which focuses on design and systems change in organisational contexts. Mills’ material and drawing practice works with themes of play, grief, and queerness to explore spaces of change and emergence. Both their design and teaching practice is a continuous experimentation of being with the play, mess and transition.
Mills holds a BA in Design from Goldsmiths, University of London (2016) and an MFA in Child Culture Design from HDK-Valand, University of Gothenburg (2022).
