Stacey
Stacey complexity approach argued that the formal approaches of implementing
change are affected by the complexity of relationships in systems. Exact
outcomes are thus unpredictable, and often results aren’t what was expected.
Stacey developed The Stacey Matrix to help organisations understand change
according to the complexity sciences. It should now be considered that Stacey
has distanced himself from the model.
It provided a framework which suggesting to organisations the type of actions
they should take based on the amount of uncertainty and agreement there is.
